Runners at the start of the 2024 Caerphilly 10k

More than 2,000 runners of all ages ran through the streets of Caerphilly as the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k and 2k races returned for 2024.

In total, nearly 1,450 people ran the 10k race, with 745 running the 2k, which were both held on Sunday May 12.

The 10k race was won by Swansea’s Dewi Griffiths for the third consecutive year, with a time of 29 minutes and 13 seconds – a new course record.

Course record broken again at Caerphilly 10k

The women’s race, which ran alongside the men’s race, was won by Pontllanfraith’s Lauren Cooper for a second consecutive year, with a time of 36 minutes and 20 seconds.
