Castle Gate Indian Restaurant has been named as a finalist in this year’s Food Awards Wales.

The restaurant, on Castle View, Caerphilly, has been shortlisted for Best Indian Establishment and is hoping to repeat its wins at the 2018 and 2019 awards, when it won top restaurant.

The awards, organised by Oceanic Creative, look to honour the top culinary destinations in Wales.

Robi Ahmed, from Castle Gate, said: “I feel very proud that Castle Gate has been nominated for another award.

“Our staff work really hard to provide excellent service and I would like to thank all of our customers for their support.”

A spokesperson for the Food Awards Wales 2024 said: “We would like to thank the public for their participation in our nomination process.

“This is an amazing opportunity to showcase the absolute best of the food scene in Wales.

“These awards aim to provide a platform to those who have dedicated their career in providing us with delicious dishes across multiple cuisines in a timely manner and affordable prices.

“We want to congratulate all of our finalists and wish the finalists the best of luck.”

The winners will be revealed on June 17 at an black-tie event at the Cardiff City Stadium.
