Gerwyn Price will be joined by Llanbradach’s Rhys Griffin at this year’s darts UK Open.

The competition will be played at the Butlin’s resort in Minehead from Friday February 28 to Sunday March 2.

Griffin, who is ranked 71st on the PDC Order of Merit, will enter the 158-player tournament in the second round, where he will face either world number 126 Beau Greaves or Stefan Bellmont, who is ranked 96th in the world.

The winner of that second round clash will take on Northern Ireland’s Mickey Mansell, ranked 42nd, in the third round.

The top 32 ranked players in the world, including Markham’s Price, will enter the fray in the fourth round.

World number nine Price will go into the competition off the back of Night Four of Premier League Darts, which will be played in Exeter on Thursday February 27.
