Cannabis seized by police after a raid in Llanbradach

A “large quantity” of cannabis and a mobile phone were seized by police following a drug raid in Llanbradach this week.

Gwent Police officers carried out the early morning raid on Thursday May 29.

Sergeant Emilie Hughes, from Gwent Police’s Caerphilly South Neighbourhood Team, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would like to emphasise that tackling drug supply and protecting the public from illegal drugs and associated crime is a priority for us.

“Warrants like this are made possible by the vital part our communities play in telling us about their concerns.

“We hope [the] warrant demonstrates that information the public can provide around illegal drugs has the potential to make a huge difference, so please continue to report your concerns and information to us.”

Caerphilly Observer contacted Gwent Police to ask which street the raid happened on. However, the force declined to provide this information due to “sensitivities of this investigation”.
