Planners in Caerphilly have backed a bid to convert an Oakdale club into a new home.
Their decision paves the way for applicant Dean Morgan to transform the New Bungalow Club, adding a gym and games room to the property.
Caerphilly County Borough Council planning officers judged the work would involve only “minor” changes to the outside of the building, and judged there would be “no visual impact concerns”.
According to their report, no neighbours offered any objections to the project during a recent public consultation period.
Designs show proposals for an open-plan living space, master bedroom and en suite, games room, and bathroom on the ground floor of the building – replacing the club’s bar area, lounges, kitchen, and toilets.
On the first floor, there are plans for two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom – and a basement level storage area would be converted into a home gym.
Officers granted planning permission, subject to conditions.
