School pupils from across the borough gathered to compete at this year’s Secondary Schools Finals football competition.

The competition ran throughout the school year in a knockout format, with all teams competing for a place in the finals – which were held over two days at Ystrad Mynach’s Centre for Sporting Excellence.

It culminated in seven finals featuring boys’ teams ranging from year 7 to year 11, alongside under-13 and under-15 girls’ matches.

The event was organised by Sport Caerphilly, the council-run leisure provider.
