Empty offices in Newport’s Clarence Place could be redivided under new renovation plans.
The premises at 30-32 Clarence Place appear to have stood vacant for several years and were most recently used for office space.
New plans submitted to Newport City Council show the two ground-floor properties could be separated back into separate units, and allowed to provide either retail or professional services.
The applicant behind the proposals is Clarence Place Developments Ltd, a Surrey-based firm which documents show has since started trading as Vocus Real Estate Ltd.
Designs show an internal access between the two units would be removed if the plans are approved.
Each property would then have its own office space, access from the street, and bathroom.
The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Newport City Council website under reference 26/0267.
