A 19-year-old man has been arrested following reports of a BB or pellet gun being used in and around Caerphilly town centre over the last two days.
The man, from the Llanbradach area, was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He is currently in custody being questioned.
A car has also been seized by police as part of an ongoing investigation, Gwent Police confirmed.
In a statement sent to Caerphilly Observer, Gwent Police said: “Officers have spoken to a number of people and have been undertaking enquiries in the area.
“Anyone with any information can call Gwent Police on 101, or you can direct message on social media. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
