Community groups, charities and social enterprises across Wales can apply for grants of up to £75,000 a year to help tackle gambling addiction and debt.
Public Health Wales (PHW) and the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) have launched a £1.4 million fund to support local, community-led initiatives over the next two years.
Applications open on Monday August 31, with money available for public awareness campaigns, outreach work, and targeted support for families affected by someone else’s gambling.
Funding will prioritize projects working with high-risk groups, including residents facing financial hardship and those in the criminal justice system.
Helen Erswell, consultant in public health at PHW, said the fund aims to support “organisations closest to those most affected” to deliver early intervention work.
Registered charities, community interest companies (CICs), and voluntary groups can request up to £75,000 annually.
A joint information webinar for prospective applicants will take place on Wednesday August 12 ahead of the application window opening.
Applications close on Monday October 19.
