A comprehensive school has made it through to the next round of a national competition.

Cwmcarn Comprehensive School will represent Caerphilly County Borough in the All Wales School Liaison Core Programme Quiz.

The quiz tests pupils, aged 12 and 13, on their knowledge from PSE lessons.

Topics covered include:

  • Drug and Substance Misuse
  • Social Behaviour and Community
  • Safety

The school beat more than 30 others to make it through to the next round and will be one of five schools from the Gwent area in the regional round.

Brynmawr Foundation School will be representing Blaenau Gwent; Chepstow Comprehensive will represent Monmouthshire; Hartridge High School will represent Newport and Fairwater High School will represent Torfaen

The winner of the regional round will represent Gwent in the All Wales
National Final which will take place in February next year.
