Police are appealing for information after an 85-year-old woman was robbed in her own home.

Two men, both aged about 18, broke into the elderly woman’s house on Pandy Road, in Bedwas, through an unsecured door between 7.30pm and 8pm on Saturday January 23.

They threatened the 85-year-old pensioner before making off with a sum of cash. The victim was left shaken but uninjured.

The first man is described as being white with a fair complexion and a roundish face. He was around 18-years-old, of medium build and about 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall.

He was wearing a waist length green jacket and a green baseball cap with a motif on it.

The second man is described as also being white but with a darker complexion and a slightly longer face.

He was also about 18-years-old but of slim build and a little taller at around 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in.

He had straight hair which was dark and tidy.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Gwent Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

This lovely lady is my Aunt. You could not wish to meet a nicer, more gentle, person. Whoever comitted this terrible crime should feel very ashamed of themselves. Although no external injures were caused this was an elderly lady and i'm sure the memory will stay with her for the rest of her life.

GOD help you if this is what you do to get money to feed your filthy drug habits. God bless you Aunty hope you feel better soon.
