Police are appealing for two witnesses to come forward who they believe could hold vital information about the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Llanbradach.
The attack happened on January 4 near the library in Llanbradach Park at noon after the girl was grabbed and pulled into some woods.
The two men police believe may be able to help with the investigation were seen in the area opposite the Wingfield Public House at around 12.30pm that day.
The first male is described as being between 26 and 30-years-old, about 5ft 11in tall and of thin build. He had short dark brown hair in a number one style crew cut and two to three days growth of facial hair.
He was wearing a waist length plain jacket, either hooded or with a hooded top underneath, camouflage trousers and boots with a buckle on the left hand side that came under to just under the knee.
The second male is described as being between 14 and 16-years-old, between 5ft2in and 5ft 4in tall and of slim build. He had brown/black straight hair and was wearing blue denim jeans and a black padded waist length jacket.
The attack shocked villagers who held a public meeting with councillors and detectives in the aftermath to discuss community safety.
Gwent Police are keen to talk to anyone else who was in Llanbradach Park that day, between 8am and 2pm, who could with the investigation.
Anyone with information about the incident should call Gwent Police on 01443 865578 or 01443 865534.
