Islwyn MP Don Touhig has hailed the efforts of the staff at the Remploy factory at Croespenmaen.

Mr Touhig, who is stepping down at the next election, recently visited the BAE Systems at Glascoed, in Pontypool, to find out about Remploy’s contract to supply packaging for the company.

He said: “I was delighted to visit Glascoed and see for myself the progress that BAE Systems and Remploy are making.
“I know the Remploy factory at Croespenmaen well – they truly are an excellent workforce.

“Whenever I have visited I am always amazed by the motivation and determination of the staff to make the business a success. The contract with BAE Systems is a testament to that.”
