Twelve youngsters aged between 12 and 18-years-old from Caerphilly County Borough have been rewarded for their educational efforts with a special ‘graduation’ ceremony.

The dozen ‘graduates’ took part in a three-year programme run by the Children’s University which offers a range of outside school hours workshops. The programme was carried out through Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Youth Forum.

Cllr Michael Prew, the council’s Youth Champion, said: “The group of young people taking part in this national scheme through the Youth Forum have been a joy to work with. They truly deserve this great accolade for all of their hard work and dedication.

“It is a great achievement for all involved including the Youth Forum staff who work tirelessly to create a fun learning environment outside of the syllabus.”

If you are aged between 11 and 25-years-old and live in Caerphilly County Borough and would like to find out more information about how to get involved with the forum you can get more information at www.caerphilly.gov.uk/youth or by calling 01443 863292.
