Business support roadshow to visit Pontllanfraith

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 13:00, Tuesday May 29th, 2012.

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Business Enterprise Support and Rural Development Teams will be visiting Pontllanfraith on Wednesday as part of a series of roadshows aimed at helping businesses.

The roadshow will take place on May 30 at Sainsbury’s Car Park, Newbridge Road Industrial Estate in Pontllanfraith.

More than 20 local business owners visited the first roadshow, held at Tredomen Park, and had the chance to speak to the support teams about help available to them.

Jan Bennett, group manager of the Business Enterprise Support Team, said: “The business roadshows enable our team to bring business support directly to local businesses throughout the county borough. In 2011, when we ran a similar programme of roadshows, over 130 businesses benefitted from our support in helping them start up or grow.”

Over the next couple of months the roadshows will be visiting industrial estates throughout the borough from Risca to Aberbargoed and Caerphilly. Local entrepreneurs and businesses are welcome to call in to any of the roadshows to find out more about the range of support that is available.

Support ranges from funding for capital equipment through to help with ICT and can be applied for whether the business is starting up or growing, rural or industrial. The teams will be on site between 10am and 2pm. All funding is discretionary and eligibility criteria apply.
