Police officers have conducted a search for a missing person along the cycle path between Abertridwr and Penyrheol.
The police helicopter was also out helping with the search.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police confirmed the police activity related to a search for a missing person but added that no further details were available.
They did state the search was not in connection with missing 77-year-old Abertridwr man Trevor Elias who disappeared from the village in April this year.
UPDATE 2.49pm: Police have reported the missing person as being found. They will not be releasing any further information.
