Mountain bikes and garden tools stolen in Pontllanfraith burglary

Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Pontllanfraith.

The break-in happened at an outbuilding at an address on The Spinney during the early hours of Monday December 3.

Items stolen include:
A customised men’s silver aluminium mountain bike with 18in frame, red front suspension forks ‘RST’ make, ‘Flite’ racing saddle, 24 speed gears, ‘specialised’ pedals and ‘mavic’ wheels with silver spokes. It has a plain frame and doesn’t have the normal manufacturers logo/stickers.

Men’s burnt orange Diamondback Sorrento SE Mountain bike – 16in frame, black saddle and 21 gears .
Two strimmers, one a JCB model number PLT-25, yellow in colour and an older model with a broken accelerator lever, orange in colour.

A red and black Mountfield SP470 lawnmower.

If anyone has information about any of these items or have been offered them recently, please contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

  • Two people, one man aged 22 from Markham and another aged 26 from Blackwood, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and are currently on police bail.
