Gwent PoliceA 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with trying to lure teenage girls into a stolen car.

Gwent Police had issued a warning to teens to be on their guard after reports the stolen silver Vauxhall Astra had been driving around Caerphilly County Borough.

Calls had been received reporting the car in the Blackwood, Bargoed, Aberbargoed, Abercarn and Fleur-dy-Lys areas.

None of the incidents resulted in anyone getting into the car as the girls approached ignored the driver and walked away.
