Friends of a motorcycle accident victim have paid tribute to him by running 5km in his memory.
David Furness, 34, of Abertridwr, who was known as Hovis, died on Saturday October 3 in a smash on the A40 trunk road in Tafarn Newydd, Llandovery.
He was a member of Cardiff running club Les Croupiers and friends and fellow members ran in his memory on Saturday.
Runners wore t-shirts with Mr Furness’s picture on during the 5km run around the Taff Trail, in Cardiff.
Members of the running club also paid tribute to Mr Furness, who joined in May this year, during their regular meet on Thursday night.
Phil Cook, captain of Les Croupiers running club, said: “David was kind, outgoing and enthusiastic.”
Mr Furness was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on October 3 after his yellow Honda Fireblade motorbike was in a collision with a Ford Focus.
Three Facebook tribute groups have been set up in his honour with both attracting more than 1,500 members.
A tribute concert has also been arranged by friends to be held at the RAOB Buffs Club in Abertridwr on November 12.
