An Abertridwr couple won two top awards at Crufts 2014 with their dog Susie taking the Special Yearling and Post Graduate prizes.

Lynda and John Billinghurst’s Miniature Wirehaired Dachshund beat 25 other dogs.

Lynda said: “It’s not the first time I’ve won at Crufts but to win a class is special and even I was surprised when Susie won both classes.”

The breeders are also celebrating victory in the Canadian and Australian Crufts equivalent.

Lynda added: “I received a phone call saying Solo, who we exported to Australia in November, is Australian Champion.”

Solo is the second international champion bred by the couple after Jiljac Hank Sinatra won the Canadian title.
