The Welsh Government has announced that Rhymney will be one of seven areas each receiving £1 million of funding to help with regeneration work.
The additional funding comes from the Welsh Government’s Vibrant and Viable Places Tackling Poverty scheme and means that seven local authorities will now share £7m over the next three years, £2m more than was announced last September.
Minister for Housing and Regeneration Carl Sargeant said: “The Welsh Government is committed to tackling poverty and making a real difference to the lives of people across Wales. Regeneration continues to play a vital role to this end and I’m delighted to be able to announce this increase in funding.”
And £1M later nothing will have changed
