Children from Cwrt Rawlin Primary School, in Castle View, Caerphilly, have created a garden for United Welsh tenants living at the housing association’s Plas Hyfryd Living+ scheme.
The green-fingered youngsters, aged between seven and 11, visited the scheme on Wednesday March 26 armed with trowels and spades.
Julie Morris, a manager with United Welsh, said: “We’re really grateful to the children of Cwrt Rawlin for coming to help us overhaul our garden.
“The new plants look great and will really improve the quality of life for our residents.”
Gosh! Teachers don’t even teach anymore. Those children should be in the classroom learning facts and learning how to apply them to problem solving. They shouldn’t be doing this nonsense. Gardening is what a landscaping company is for. One lots of professional have just lost out on a potential contract.
On one hand the WAG is encouraging companies to award contracts and bid for them and on another they are allowing school children to take a break for learning and do jobs that could be out for tender themselves. No wonder Wales is in such a mess.
