The start of the summer term has seen the creation of a new club at Waunfawr Primary School in Crosskeys.
The Intergenerational Club brings members of the local community over the age of 50 together with pupils.
The aim is for people to share their different experiences from across generations. Invitations were sent to local residents, grandparents, governors, and friends of the school, to join the children for lunch, play games, and find out more about each other.
The club began with 20 members and was officially declared open by Cllr Michael Gray, last year’s Mayor of Caerphilly and Chair of Governors at Waunfawr Primary School.
Headteacher Joanne Cueto said: “The Intergen Club is about bringing different generations together to both learn from each other.”
