Speak out for Stroke recruiting members across Caerphilly County Borough

News | | Published: 14:57, Friday June 6th, 2014.

A new project supporting stroke survivors and carers to campaign together for better services is now recruiting members across Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent.

Speak out for Stroke, delivered by the Stroke Association, is part of the Community Voice programme and will be funded by the Big Lottery Fund for the next three years.

The project is setting up new forums across Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent.

Claire O’Shea, Regional Information and Campaigns Officer for the Stroke Association said: “This is a really important opportunity for stroke survivors to shape the services that directly affect them.

“We want to ensure stroke survivors have their voices heard and are influential in the decision making process that can have a real impact on their personal health and wellbeing as well as that of their families and carers.”
