Members from more than 50 dance clubs brought their moves together for a showcase at Blackwood Miners’ Institute recently.

Dances of all genres were on show at the annual festival that was open to performers of all ages and abilities.

Local dance group Ty Dawns Coed Duon, Blackwood Miners’ Institute and Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Arts Development Team organised the event that took place over three evenings.

The community showcase was the second dance event at the institute in two weeks.

The Got to Dance Finals were in the theatre a week before, where 30 acts showcased a number of different genres including contemporary, jive and disco.
