Police appeal over attempted robbery in Pontlottyn

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery of a 17-year-old boy in Pontlottyn on Tuesday October 7.

The victim was travelling on the 9.20pm train from Bargoed to Pontlottyn when two boys boarded the train at Tirphil.

When they got off at Pontlottyn the two boys followed the 17-year-old. When they got to Wellington Way, they attempted to take the teenager’s mobile phone and cash. The victim was able to run off.

The first would-be robber is described as being a white male, aged between 16 and 19, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in tall and of medium build. He was clean shaven with brown eyes, an oval face and a pointed chin. He was wearing a blue hoody and dark jeans.

The second offender is described as being a white male, aged between 15 and 18, of slim build and with a spotty complexion. He was wearing a green hoodie.
