Youngsters asked to vote on issues as Caerphilly Youth Forum conference vows action

News | | Published: 16:00, Friday October 17th, 2014.

Young people from across Caerphilly County Borough made their voices heard at the annual Caerphilly Youth Forum conference in Blackwood.

Sixty-three young people from schools, youth clubs, youth projects and voluntary organisations across the area met at Maes Manor Hotel for the major event.

Three forum members also appeared on the ITV Wales evening news to talk about issues facing young people today.

The delegates agreed four priority issues and it is now up to the young people across the area to vote for one priority for the Youth Forum to work on in the next 12 months.

The four priority issues are domestic abuse, mental health, work experience and relationships with the police.

Voting will be live on the youth forum’s website www.youth4u.co.uk until November 10 and all voters will be entered into a prize draw.
