A wanted criminal who taunted Gwent Police on Facebook, posting “catch me if you can”, has been arrested.
Logan Rhys James, 19, had been on the run for a week after he was released early from an eight month prison sentence for a street knife attack.
Gwent Police issued an appeal to track the teenager down after he breached the terms of his release licence and posted his picture on their Facebook page.
Underneath the online appeal, James posted: “ Haha catch me if you can wont see me slipping [SIC].”
James was handed his eight month sentence for wounding, affray, common assault and being in possession of a knife.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Officers searching for Logan Rhys James, from the Caerphilly area, who breached his licence conditions after being released from prison on February 6 have arrested him.
“The 19-year-old was arrested in Caerphilly at about 5.20pm this evening, Sunday February 15.
“He is currently in police custody.”
