Firefighters called to large grass fire in Llanbradach

Firefighters are tackling a 400 metres by 400 metres grass fire on Llanbradach mountain.

Two crews are fighting the large blaze which began at around 3.45 pm this afternoon, April 7.

It is not known yet if the fire was started deliberately.

    Is the area of the fire correct? A 100 square metre fire is about the floor area of two terraced houses. Perhaps a zero has been missed out.

    They’ve started early this year. A fire engine visiting my school and telling us that it cost £400 for every call out prevented me from even thinking of setting things on fire for fun.
    £400 in the late 80’s, I can’t even imagine the cost now.
