Firefighters extinguish deliberate grass fire in Llanbradach

Ten firefighters tackled a large grass fire on Llanbradach mountain for two hours yesterday, April 7.

The blaze, that was started deliberately, covered an area of 400 metres by 400 metres and it took two crews to put it out.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called at 3.45pm and firefighters extinguished the blaze by 6pm.

The fire service’s fire crime unit are investigating.

    Ah, the fire covered 160,000 sq. metres, I thought the initial report of 100 sq. metres was a bit small.
