A new photographic project is aiming to record and showcase everyday life in the village of Fochriw.

The first exhibition of Hour Eyes is currently being held at Fochriw Primary School and organisers are eager for more photographs to be sent in from villagers.

International artist Tracey Moberly is heading up the project.

She explained: “Hour Eyes is an intricate study of the inner workings of a village community from the newborn to the grandparent; the medicine cabinet to the fruit bowl; the changing seasons and fluidity of nature; the Poundland store to a trip to Harrod’s.”

For more information on the project, email houreyes17@gmail.com or go to Twitter.com/houreyesfochriw

Hour Eyes has received support from Caerffili Cwm a Mynydd Rural Development Programme and is funded through the Welsh Government.
