Tomas Shackson, 27, became trapped under the vehicle in Morgan Street, in Llanbradach, on Tuesday, October 9.

He was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where he was placed in intensive care but despite the best efforts of hospital staff he died on Saturday, October 13, as a result of his injuries.

An inquest into Mr Shackson’s death was opened and adjourned at Newport Coroners’ Court on Thursday, October 18.
