Three businesses based in Caerphilly County Borough have been named as finalists for the South Wales Chamber of Commerce Welsh Business Awards.
Team Metalogic, based in Caerphilly Business Park, is up for the High Growth Business of the Year award, while Bedwas-based Bearmach are finalists in the Ecommerce Business of the Year category.
Also up for an award is Caerphilly Funeral Services, which is hoping to win the Small Business of the Year award, as well as the Employer of the Year award.

Dean Thomas, of Caerphilly Funeral Services, said: “People sometimes think of the funeral industry as being very traditional, perhaps old fashioned and almost Victorian.
“Being nominated for these awards shows that we are leading a dynamic business and doing everything a modern business should.
“Outside of the funeral industry we are up there with some of the best employers in Wales and some of the best small businesses in Wales.”
In total, 38 companies have been announced as finalists across ten categories for the 18th year of the awards.
The awards ceremony will be hosted by Welsh television presenter Gethin Jones at Cardiff City Hall on Thursday, March 5.
Heather Myers, CEO of South Wales Chamber of Commerce said: “These awards showcase the best of Wales, across all sizes of business and all sectors.
“We celebrate Welsh SMEs in all forms; the family businesses, the exporters, the high growth, and the small business. They have all played a vital role in employing local people, creating jobs, investing in wellbeing, being part of their community and driving the Welsh economy.
“These awards are a small way of recognising all their hard work, efforts, risks taken and sleepless nights that being in business means. I am delighted the South Wales Chamber, through these awards, is leading that salute.”
