Coronavirus test centres to remain open for another week

Two temporary coronavirus testing centres in Caerphilly County Borough will remain open for an extra week.

The walk-in testing units at Caerphilly Leisure Centre and the Bargoed Library car park will remain open until Monday, November 23, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has confirmed.

Only Caerphilly County Borough residents will be able to get tested at these sites.

Residents will need to book in advance to get tested and will need to bring proof of address with them.

People wishing to be tested have also been urged to wear a face mask, not to use public transport to get to the site and not to visit shops or any other public places while on the way to or from getting tested.

Symptoms of coronavirus include a new continuous cough, high temperature and a loss of taste or smell.

The test centre at Caerphilly Leisure Centre will open each day from 8.30am to 11.30am, while the Bargoed test centre will be open between 12.30pm and 3.30pm daily.
