If you are an NFL fan who still hasn’t given college football a chance, then you have stumbled on the right blog. NFL is arguably the biggest sports competition in the USA, and Americans love their football because it is close to their hearts and highly entertaining. Also, the NFL gives us Super Bowl Sunday every year, which is nothing short of a festival. However, college football is more fun when it comes to the quality of games, rivalries, and passion. It is true that the quality of the games in the NFL is top-notch, but even those games can sometimes fail to produce the heat that college football can produce. In this article, I have mentioned a few reasons why college football is better than the NFL. Some people may not agree with these reasons, but they are very compelling.

Better Rivalries

One thing that puts college football above the NFL is rivalries. I am not saying that the NFL lacks rivalries, but they are not as good as college rivalries. The main reason behind that is tradition. Rivalries in the NFL changes from time to time depending on the teams’ strength. But in college football, some names are always put next to each other. You won’t find a rivalry like UCLA vs. USC or Michigan vs. Ohio in the NFL. If you want to learn more about college football rivalries, you can check lines.com for more details.

Passionate Players

When it comes to passion for the game and the team, college football takes the cake. NFL players are loyal to their team, but they don’t have the same passion college players have. The reason behind that is college players are not drafted into teams; they actually represent the college they are attending. This strengthens their bond with the team, and they are always fighting for their pride. You will rarely see an NFL player showing the same energy a college player shows.

Every Game is Important

Another major difference between college football and NFL is the importance they put on certain games. In the NFL, a team can afford to lose a few games because it doesn’t matter as long as they make it to the playoffs. On the other hand, college teams cannot afford to lose a single game because even a single loss can ruin that team’s whole season. This means every time you watch college football; you witness players giving their hundred percent

Passionate Fans

Even though NFL fans are extremely passionate about their teams, college football fans have a slight edge over them. Again, the main difference is passion, because the fans you will see in the stadium are the active students and alumni of that college. The atmosphere you will witness at a college game will give you an experience that you will remember for a long time. Most fans are dressed in their college colors and are constantly cheering for their team. You will also see marching bands in the stadium, which is something that the NFL lacks.
