MPs call on UK Government to help flood-hit communities

Gerald Jones MP and Wayne David MP have called on the UK Government to provide more help to flood-hit communities.

Delyth Jewell AM has called on the council to make flooding victims exempt from paying council tax for six months.

The sessions follow a spate of antisocial behaviour in the town, including a mass brawl at McDonald’s.

Pupils will be performing on Monday, March 2 as part of the Barnardo’s Cymru Young Supporters’ Concert.

An investigation is taking place after a 27-year-old man suffered a serious eye injury after he was assaulted in a Caerphilly pub.

Three businesses based in Caerphilly County Borough have been named as finalists for the South Wales Chamber of Commerce Welsh Business Awards.

Gwent Police has said officers would like to identify and speak with the man pictured about the incident.
