Eight tonne excavator stolen in Gelligaer

An eight tonne excavator was stolen overnight from Heol Adam in Gelligaer.
The theft happened on November 18-19 and Gwent Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of the Doosan DX85R 2014 machine.

Caerphilly Council to hold consultation events for planned Rhymney Primary School

Parents are being encouraged to have their say on plans for a new primary school in Rhymney.
The plans would mean the closure of Abertysswg and Pontlottyn primary schools, although original proposals to close Fochriw Primary School have been scrapped.
