Court Road footbridge in Energlyn, which crosses over the A469 road, is being refurbished.

The work started on Monday, August 23, with the bridge being removed on Saturday, August 28.

Caerphilly County Borough Council said the bridge will be reinstalled at a later date.

A diversion route will be put in place for pedestrians while the bridge is away.

In a statement, the council said: “The footbridge will be removed during a night closure to mitigate the impact on traffic flows in the immediate vicinity.”

The statement added: “We appreciate the impact the construction works will have on both traffic flows and pedestrians. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.”
