No injuries were reported after a crash involving three cars on Tuesday afternoon, Gwent Police has confirmed.

The crash caused the A468 road between the Penrhos roundabout and St Cenydd roundabout to close for around four hours, leading to heavy rush hour traffic in and around Caerphilly.

The crash happened just after 3pm, with the road reopening shortly after 7pm.

In a statement, Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision on Nantgarw Road, Caerphilly, at around 3.05pm on Tuesday, March 29.

Officers attended, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service, to assist with traffic management and the collision involved three cars.

“No injuries were reported.”
