Gerwyn Price and Johnny Clayton won the World Cup of Darts for Wales in 2020

Markham’s Gerwyn Price will represent Wales at this year’s World Cup of Darts.

Price, 37, will once again team up with Llanelli’s Jonny Clayton, 47, in the competition, which is being held in Frankfurt, Germany.

It will be the fifth consecutive year the duo have competed together for Wales.

Price, who is currently ranked second in the world, and Clayton, who is ranked eighth, won the competition for Wales back in 2020 and were semi-finalists in 2021 – losing to eventual champions Scotland.

The competition will get underway on June 16, with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final all being played on June 19.

Price and Clayton’s opponents in the 32-nation tournament are yet to be decided.

The World Cup of Darts will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Before turning his focus towards the World Cup, Price will be competing at the US Darts Masters in at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

The US Darts Masters gets underway on June 3 and finish the following day.

June will also see Price compete at the Dutch Masters in Amsterdam on June 24 and 25.
