Wilkins Terrace footbridge is set to return tonight after nearly four months
Wilkins Terrace footbridge is set to return tonight after nearly four months

Work to return a footbridge in Pwllypant was postponed because of poor weather.

The bridge had been expected to return on Friday night, January 6, after nearly four months of renovations – twice as long as initially planned.

The Wilkins Terrace footbridge goes over the A468/A469 towards the St Cenydd roundabout.

The road was due to close between Pwllypant roundabout and Trecenydd roundabout from 8pm Friday to 6am Saturday, January 7.

However poor weather that evening meant the work had to be delayed and will be rearranged at a later date, according to Caerphilly County Borough Council.
