Gerwyn Price has moved up to second in the Premier League Darts standings after winning in Nottingham on Thursday night.
Price, from Markham, beat Chris Dobey 6-4 in the final to clinch victory on night seven.
It was his second Premier League Darts success of the year, having won in front of home support in Cardiff on February 9.
Price began his evening with a 6-4 win over fellow-Welshman Jonny Clayton, before beating Belgium’s Dimitri van den Bergh by the same scoreline in the semi-finals.
Speaking after the event, Price said: “I thought I played pretty well tonight, I just missed a few doubles which let people in games.
“I’ve been playing well for the last couple of weeks, but players just keep pipping me in games.
“I was really edgy against Jonny, I very rarely feel as nervous as I did in that game; I knew I could slip down the table if I lost so I needed that win and then I found my feet in the last two matches.”
Price added: “The crowds have been good for me the last couple of weeks and that makes me play better, hopefully I can kick on and make the play-offs.”
Next up for Price is a trip to Newcastle for Premier League Darts night eight on Thursday March 23.
