Caerphilly County Borough Council will not be holding any coronation events this weekend, with most community councils following suit.
While some community councils do have events planned, many have decided to prioritise other schemes and causes instead.
What are town and community councils?
A county council spokesperson said: “The council will be adopting the same approach as last year’s Jubilee – encouraging and assisting the community to organise street parties, social gatherings and community celebrations.”
The local authority is currently focusing on the “Big Help Out,” where it will provide information to residents about local volunteering opportunities such as litter picks, community clean-ups, and other similar activities.
It will also help with road closure requests on the day of the coronation.
But which community councils are holding events, and which ones aren’t?
