The BBC National Orchestra for Wales visited a primary school in Pontllanfraith last week to perform for pupils.
A 13-piece orchestra, conductor and presenter played a short concert at Bryn Primary School on April 27, as part of the BBC NOW Schools Tour.
It also held interactive activities to teach pupils about the different instruments involved with the orchestra.
The visit was part of the New Curriculum for Wales, which started back in September – with the aim of encouraging pupils to develop their artistic skills.
Bryn Primary’s headteacher Jodi Khan said: “Our pupils were truly inspired by such an interactive and engaging performance.
“Thank you to the BBC National Orchestra for Wales. We are thrilled to be part of the BBC NOW tour.”
Caerphilly County Borough mayor Liz Aldworth attended the “fabulous” performance and said it was “delightful” to see the children “so excited and enthusiastic towards the performance”.
