Caerphilly County Borough Council will be showing its support for next week’s Armed Forces Day with a special flag raising ceremony.
Held at Caerphilly County Borough Council’s headquarters at Penallta House on Monday June 20, the ceremony will begin at 11.30am.
Residents are invited to attend the ceremony, which will be led by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Mayor, Cllr Vera Jenkins.
Cllr Jenkins said: “Armed Forces Day is an excellent opportunity to raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and to show our support for all they do.”
Veterans from the Royal British Legion and Comrades from The Royal Welsh will be among the guests at the ceremony.
The Regimental Goat and a Flag Major from the Royal Welsh will also be present.
