Gwent Police say the injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.

An 11-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Rhymney.

The incident occurred on Abertysswg Road, Rhymney at around 8.25am this morning, Tuesday September 5.

Gwent Police say the injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.

In a statement, Gwent Police said: “Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the collision involved a pedestrian and a bus.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today to reports of a road traffic accident involving a pedestrian in Rhymney. We sent one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance to the scene. One patient was transported to Prince Charles Hospital.”
