There were three attempted burglaries in Bargoed last month, Gwent Police has confirmed.
One attempted burglary took place on September 12 at Morrisons. The two other attempted burglaries happened on September 29 on the High Street.
Three arrests have been made and one person has been charged.
Gwent Police told Caerphilly Observer: “A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary following a report of an attempted burglary at Morrisons in Bargoed on Tuesday September 12.
“He was later charged with this offence and remanded to appear at Newport Magistrates Court.”
On the other incidents, Gwent Police added: “We received a report of two attempted burglaries in High Street, Bargoed, at around 3.20am and 3.30am on Friday September 29.
“A 15-year-old Caerphilly boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary.
“A 14-year-old Aberbargoed boy was arrested on suspicion of affray, assault, attempted burglary, burglary, criminal damage, harassment and theft.
“Both were later released on bail as enquiries continue.”
While these incidents were attempted burglaries, burglaries accounted for 2.1% of crimes over the last three years in Bargoed, according to data provided by police.uk.
Violence and sexual offences have accounted for the highest number of crimes over the last three years at 40.6%.
