Drainage works are being carried out near St Cenydd Comprehensive School during October half-term.

The works get underway on St Cenydd Close, Caerphilly, on Saturday October 28, and are expected to be completed before half-term ends.

The “essential flood alleviation” works will include replacing existing kerbs with kerb drainage units, along with resurfacing work.

While the works are being carried out, temporary traffic lights will be set up on nearby St Cenydd Road.

Caerphilly County Borough Council, which is behind the works, said it has been timed to coincide with the school holidays to reduce disruption.
