Gerwyn Price will be hoping to propel himself up the Premier League Darts standings as the event returns for Night Seven on Thursday March 14.
Price, from Markham, goes into the night ranked seventh in the eight-man competition, which this week heads to Nottingham, where Price clinched a Night Seven victory last year.
He will take on bottom-place Peter Wright in the opening round, with the winner facing either Michael Smith or last week’s winner Luke Humphries in the semi-final.
Wright, a two-time world champion, will be looking to grab his first win in this year’s competition.
The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.
Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at the O2 in London on Thursday May 23.
