Engineering work at Cardiff Queen Street station will cause disruption

Engineering work will affect rail services through Cardiff Queen Street station over the coming months, as work continues on the South Wales Metro project.

Transport for Wales (TfW) has said the “first of several” works affecting services through the station will begin on August bank holiday weekend, and will continue intermittently until November.

Rail replacement buses will be running to counter the disruption.

TfW has urged all commuters to check before they travel, with rail replacement buses running.

Rhymney railway line disruption continues throughout 2024 due to metro works
